What is a full exterior detail? A full Exterior detail includes the wash and dry process that precedes additional detailing services which may include documented paint inspection, paint decontamination, paint correction and paint polishing.
For the best results, the exterior detail processes are done before the final wax, sealant or ceramic coating is applied.
The wheel wells are thoroughly cleaned. Tires are scrubbed. Wheels are cleaned and a hydrophobic protection is applied. After the exterior detailing treatment is completed, exterior trim is cleaned and coated then the exterior glass is cleaned.
A luxury car wash is designed to remove dirt and grit from the paint surface without adding swirl marks to the paintwork.
The exterior of each vehicle receives a gentle rinse using purified water. A pH7 snow foam pre-wash soap is then applied, followed with a rinse, then a hand wash using a specially formulated pH neutral shampoo with a Merino wool wash mitt.
Decontamination can restore the paintwork to a clean, smooth finish, ready for paint correction, finishing and protection. Automobile paintwork can become contaminated with many harmful substances, such as iron filings from car brakes and railway lines, road tar, acid rain, tree sap and bird droppings. Iron filings can be very damaging if allowed to rust into the paintwork. It’s important to remove embeded paint contamination before the paint correction or polishing process is done.
The treatment begins with a test section to determine which compounds, polishes, pads and machines will achieve the best result. Paint polishing is a very labor intensive process and it is the most time consuming part of the auto detailing process. The first part is paint leveling to remove imperfections. The last is a very fine finishing polish to achieve brilliance and clarity.
A ceramic coating is a liquid that is applied by hand to the exterior of a vehicle. The coating chemically bonds with the vehicle's factory paint creating a solid layer of protection. Unlike the durability of car wax and sealants which is measured in months, CQuartz Professional and CQuartz Finest Reserve are measured in years! We only offer two premium coatings. We are proud to be the ONLY CQuartz Finest Reserve and CQuartz Professional certified installer in Palm Beach County.
Detailing enhances paintwork, but paint correction repairs it. The paint correction process removes unsightly swirl marks, micro-marring, holograms, light scratches, hazing, oxidation and water marks before the wax, sealant or coating is applied. There is no point bringing a mirror-deep shine to an imperfect surface. C.Quartz premium ceramic coatings last for years.
